Writing a blog post that will attract visitors and loved by search engines is not an easy task. But it isn’t very hard to do as well. There are few simple things that you can do to get the best of both worlds. First of all lets take a look at some of the things you can do to make it more attractive for search engines.

Writing a proper title with relevant key words

Most bloggers , especially blogger who are new to blogging hardly pays any attention to there blog post title. But your blog post title goes a long way in determining your search engine rankings for that post. So if you are writing about how to attract readers then make sure to have those words in the blog post title. Don’t go for cool looking or deceptive titles , they might bring you a quick traffic surge but in the long run proper titles will bring you a steady stream of traffic.

Make sure to add tags to your post

Another thing ignored by most blogger and one thing that could be very easy to forget as well. Tags play a big role in attracting search engine traffic. Content driven sites like Squidoo and hubpages encourage you to add lots of relevant tags because of this very reason. If you are using self hosted Wordpress there are many plug-ins that auto generate tags so choose a one that suits you. If you are using Blogspot then make sure to add the relevant labels to your post.

Adding key words in the body of your post

This is where things get a bit tricky and where you have to find the balance between readers and search engines. Obviously you need to add your key words in the post body but you don’t want to over do it.

Images and videos not only makes your blog post more pleasing to the reader but quickly attracts them as well. The most challenging thing about new visitors is to get them to start reading.
