Blogging : How To Use Feeds to Write Posts

Google Buzz

feedsThere are many types of posts in a blog. Sometimes we post tricks or tips and some times we post reviews. Sometimes we also post various news items! Its not an easy task to write about the latest news, getting the latest headlines as soon as they are out is a bit tricky task. But now, you can do this very easily with RSS feeds!

To write an effective news post you have to stay in-touch with the best news providers in the worlds, and also with the big companies like Google and Microsoft. How to do this? Actually its not hard, lets see how…

  • First find a good feed reader for example: You can use FeedDeamon or the FeedReader if you have a windows system, or you can use Liferea if you have a Linux system.
  • Next after you install it in your system, find good web sites which gives you quality headlines like : TechCrunch, Softpedia and Slashdot (These are websites which give you tech news)
  • And also find some big websites in your industry which might give you some great news headlines like Google and Microsoft.
  • Next look at the address-bar of your browser for the RSS icon, and click on “Subscribe to (the name of the web site) RSS feeds)”

  • After that you will be sent to the RSS page of that site. Next copy and paste the link of that site and add it to your feed reader software!
  • Now go to the settings of your feed reader and set it to notify you if there are new items in the feed, and also set it to autostart with the system.

Great! As soon as the feeds are updated, the feed reader software will inform you. After that you can write about that item in your blog before anyone else does! Congrats! Now you are ready to become the first person to give the best news items to your readers!
