Google Chrome For Linux and Mac are Now in Beta Stage!

Google Chrome is one of the best web browsers which we have today, Its simple but also very fast. At first when it was released on September 2, 2008, we can only use it on Windows PCs. After that they started building versions for other platforms like Mac and Linux…. which they called Chromium (the development version of Chrome). But, today they have moved from the developers only version ‘Chromium’ to the public beta!
Google Chrome (Beta) For Mac :
73,804 lines of Mac-specific code and 29 developer builds later, we’re excited to finally release Google Chrome for Mac in beta. We took a hefty dose of goodness from the Windows version to build a fast, polished browser for Mac — with features such as the Omnibox (where you can both search and type in addresses), themes from artists, and most importantly, speed. Try downloading Google Chrome for Mac and see what you think.
We also took great care to make Google Chrome a native application for Mac. For example, we integrated the Keychain into Google Chrome for Mac, and incorporated Mac-style animations when you open the Bookmarks bar. (From Google Mac blog)
Google Chrome (Beta) For Linux :
Bringing Google Chrome to Linux wasn’t just a straight port — it was a labor of love. Google Chrome works well with both Gnome and KDE, and is updated via the normal system package manager. It has also been developed as a true open source project, using public mailing lists, IRC channels, bug tracker, code repository, and continuous build and test farm — following in large part the trail blazed by Mozilla. Where we noticed problems in system libraries, we pushed fixes upstream and filed bugs. This open approach to development seems to be working: so far, about 50 developers outside Google have contributed code (for instance, thanks to Ibrar and Paweł for our FTP stack), and several Linux distributions even maintain preliminary open source builds of Google Chromium.
How to get Chrome?
Its simple, just go to the Google Chrome Download Page and it will automatically detect the version of you OS and give you the correct version which suits you.

That fact that Chrome is available for Linux and Mac is far more important for me to know than the fact that it is still in Beta! Thanks for sharing :)
