DownloadThere are many free and open-source download managers for Linux systems, but does they accelerate your downloads? Are they reliable? Are they updated? For most of them, the answer is no. Then how to get a good download manager for Linux, which actually accelerates your downloads? Lets find out…

Recently I spent some time to find a good download manager for my Linux system… some of them are old (not being updated), some of them are too slow and some of them don’t even support our new browsers! So I got lost!

But recently I found a small plugin which does the job inside Firefox! Its called Fire Download! This little plugin makes the downloads 10x faster using multi-source downloading and compression techniques. I think this is the fastest download manager which we have for a Linux system!

But, still there are some bugs with the plugin. Some times it may cause your browser to crash! It downloads so fast, so, sometimes it will take the complete bandwidth of your connection! It takes about 5 seconds to start a download!

A plugin with both, great, advantages and disadvantages! But, I think its worth a try. At least it makes your downloads super fast… so why not try it? Try it and see whether it supports your blood group, and tell us your results! If you know of any other good , download manager (up-to-date,which accelerates downloads), please feel free to comment about it!
