CommentsComments play an important role in a blog. Actually, comments make a blog look alive. If you don’t get any comments… it like a ghost town! No civilization. But, normally, to get comments, we need to get a lot of traffic… wait a sec, Is it correct? No it isn’t…

Apart from getting lots of traffic, there are other ways which you can get comments to your blog. To do this you need to be a bit tricky! Lets see how :

1) Make sure that your post will generate comments

The first and the hardest method is, to make your posts more attractive so the reader won’t leave your site without leaving a comment. Try to write a killer article, which will give very useful information to the reader, or solve a critical problem which most of us have. Actually this is a bit hard, you need to be very tricky to hook up the reader to the post.

2) Always try to end the post with a question

I think most of you have already noticed that most of my posts contains a question at the end. Do you know, why am I doing it? Its like a small invitation for the readers to leave a comment. So, try to end your post with a question… and let the reader complete the post.

3) If you give comments, you’ll get comments

This is the most successful methods! The formula works like the newton’s third law :

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction

If you combine this with blogging, you’ll get the following equation :

For most of the comments you will get an equal and opposite comment (or sometimes more than what you gave)

This means, to get comments you need to simply comment on other blog. When you comment on other blogs, those authors will come to your blog, and leave a comment to say “thank you”. When ever you get a comment from a fellow blogger, go and leave a comment on his blog as well. In this way, you will be able to build a good community of commentators around your blog. You will be able know other bloggers, and learn from them.

Now, what do you think about it? Do you think you can turn your ghost town into a capital city? Or, do you have more tips to share? If so, please share them, with us as “Comments“!
