The Great Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.0 is Finally Ready

For most of the Ubuntu users, Ubuntu Tweak is a must have app! It make Ubuntu easier for every one. It is like the Control Panel of Ubuntu. We can change system settings, manage start-up programs, install software and we can do many other things within this small app! Recently Ubuntu Tweak have passed a new milestone by releasing the next major version of their world class software!
The new Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.0 have made everything much more easier with a great new interface, the ability to sync data from the website and lots of more new options. Not only the software, they have also completely changed their web site which now contains the information and the sources of the software which you can install from Ubuntu Tweak! If you like, now you can register in the site and add software you like or your own software to their software list.
Whats New on Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.0?
New changes:
- Drop the support of Ubuntu 9.04 and before
- Use all native icon in UI
- Migrate from policykit to policykit-1, no C code any more
- Support dynamic-module, only load module what desktop supports
- Redesign the sidebar and title-bar
New features:
- Application Center: improve from Add/Remove, supports online data sync
- Source Center: improve from Third-Party Source, supports online data sync
- Update Manager: a simple but more human-readable update manager
- Improve the computer page, add “Change Hostname” feature
- Add indicator-session dialog control
- Add the menu and button icon options to gnome-settings
- Add the show desktop icon again
- Add the option to disable user list in GDM

I havnt tried Ubuntu Tweak as yet,as Im an OpenSuse User., it has tools inbuilt for such functions. Will try this tweak when i get Ubuntu :)

Any chance this will work with Xubuntu? The XFCE equivalent of Ubuntu. It’s not quite as tweak friendly so i was hoping this could help out.
