Opera 10.50 : The Chrome Killer is Finally Here

As they say, Opera 10.50, the fastest browser for Windows in the world have been released to the public today! And we say its the Chrome killer because of its minimal interface just like Google Chrome!
The major change in Opera is its cool new interface. The earlier Opera interface is too much bulky with too many features and gadgets! I think most of you have used the Google Chrome browser which have a very minimal interface. Now Opera also have an interface just like Google Chrome! No fancy bars or menus to eat up space.
Opera 10.50 is the fastest browser we have ever produced. Under the hood, we introduced a new JavaScript engine, Carakan, and a new graphics library, Vega. What that means to you: no more waiting around for a site to load.
As they say, Opera 10.50 is the fastest browser that they have ever produced with a new JavaScript engine and a new graphics library! In my point of view, its faster than other versions of Opera, but I don’t think its faster than Firefox and Google Chrome!
I can remember the earlier Opera versions had rough page loadings. What I meant is, when we try to load a page, sometimes, it gets stuck and waits for several seconds (sometimes, this waiting time is more than the normal page loading time). But the new opera have a bit smoother loading, but not so perfect!

Opera sure is a great browser with a lot of features. I think they have more features than any other browser in the world. The only problem seems to be its bulky interface. But the latest release solved the problem!

What I think is that Opera 10.50 is the best browser that Opera have ever released. But still, I don’t think they can beat Firefox and Google Chrome! What do you think?

Opera has always been more lightweight than other browser. A smaller download, faster, and more responsive UI.
Pubudu, I tried Opera. But looks slower than Chrome.

I know about Opera but never used it, but after reading your title I downloaded and insalled it to just see how better it is with my best browser ie Chrome.
Well I liked Opera but I can’t say that it is better than chrome, chrome is still the best for me.

The window with content has the Windows XP blue titlebar at the top. The blank window has nothing in it, but displays no Windows XP titlebar, but a silver, sleek Opera titlebar. Should these windows merge?

I dont agree with you.. I think Opera is the fastest. The only problem with opera is that it doesnt support WYSIWYG Editors. Whereas, the new style is mimic of Chrome :P

Some years back, I only used Opera but then switched to Firefox only due to the better open source support (addons and all). But now after using Opera 10.5 I am really wanting to make it my default browser. Definitely its much robust and speedy. :)

FYI Opera 10.50 is faster, or on some PCs, just as fast as Chrome.

Oh wow this is really a good news about Opera that Opera 10.50 has released.Opera is truly a fastest browser with its good performance.Now I will definitely download it.
LOL no wayyyyyy! Opera 10.50 with there rebuilt java engine and new graphics library is 10x faster then Firefox, truthfully firefox has becoming slower and slower with every release while other browsers such as chrome and firefox are flying. I would compare firefox's speed to IE and opera has beaten firefox many releases ago. And btw im not an opera fan i actually use iron. :)
