Google Chrome : Save Tabs and Exit

Sell your mobile

You like this story?

Google Chrome Session ManagerWhen you try to exit Mozilla Firefox while there are open tabs, they will ask you whether to save them or not. If you save them, they will be loaded automatically the next time we open the browser. So that we can continue what we did earlier!  Google Chrome doesn’t have this feature by default. But, a small extension can add this nice feature to Google Chrome as well!

This is a feature that I always use in Firefox. For example : I open several tabs and load several websites. But, after that, my mom calls me, and I have to turn off the PC and run! At this situation, what I will do is, click on the close button on Firefox and let it save my tabs. So, when I return, I don’t have to open all those tabs one by one. Firefox will load them automatically for me. But Unfortunately, this feature was absent on Google Chrome.

Today I found a cool plugin called the “Session Manager” which will integrate this missing feature into Google Chrome. Session Manager will allow you to save the current browser state and re-load it when you need it. Firefox will allow you to save only one state, but this plugin will allow you to save several states. You can easily name those states and organize them for later use. So, lets see how to use this plugin :

Install :

  • To download and install this plugin, go to this link and click on “Install”

How to Use it :

  • When you want to save the state of your browser, first click on the “Session Manager” icon as shown in the image below :

  • After that, give a name to your session and click on “Save”
  • When you want to re-load the saved session, click on the “Session Manager” icon again. Select the session you want to load and click “Open”

That’s all folks! Hope you’ll find this plugin useful! If you have any questions, please leave them as comments. Enjoy!

google chrome never shuts out & if anything happens: laptop dies, shuts off without notice, etc; google chrome recovers all websites, tabs & windows you had open. saves passwords if desired.
