A Suspicious Looking Web Site? Then Lets Scan It!
You like this story?
You can scan your computer for any malware activities. But can you scan a web site to check whether its safe or not? Why not? There are several ways in which a malware could infect your system. Among all of them, the Internet is at the top. Most of the time you get malware from the Internet through infected web sites. Some of them are hacked, but some of them were infected by their own creators. So, do you know how to scan a web site, and to learn whether its infected or not? Lets find out…
Not only normal visitors, also the webmasters need to know whether their site is hacked or not. Most of the hackers, inject malware into these sites. So, a web master need to be alerted of these attacks to save his visitors and himself!
URLVoid is a new site which will solve our problem. URLVoid was started on 21st May 2010 making it possible for us to scan a web site using multiple engines. There are lots of engines which can scan a web site and report whether its clean or not. URLVoid will combine the power of these top scan engines to give us an almost perfect report. Some of the popular engines that they use are, Google Diagnostic, McAfee SiteAdvisor, Norton SafeWeb and MyWOT. When I scanned TechHamlet.com, it used 19 engines to make sure that this site is clean.
So, what are you waiting for? Start scanning your web site, or any suspicious sites which scared you away during your first visit! But, always keep in mind that even URLVoid have given the following warning :
You should take in mind that even if a site is listed as clean by all scanning engines, it is NOT guaranteed the harmlessness of the website analyzed.
