Our Story

Tech Hamlet is a state of the art tech blog which is powered by the Earth Organization. Its main target is to educate people about the latest technology. We post latest tech news, tips on how to resolve problems, tricks and hacks to improve what you do, tutorials to learn new things and many more… What you have to do is, just sit and learn from us! Get the maximum use from us!

Today every one depends on technology… everyday we can see new things coming up! Today we have one technology and tomorrow we have a different one! Everything change fast. But, as they always say humans cannot be satisfied! Is it true? No idea…. Because of this everyday new companies were formed in the intention of giving a better service to these “humans” (if your not a human then…..). But when they go into the market the only thing they try to do is kick and kill each other… most of the only care about money!

This is where we fit in…. Our company “Earth Organization” was formed to give a better service with the collaboration of all the other competitors… Our scope is very wide! We start small, then go big!

What is our target? Our main target is to cover all the areas of technology (Software, Web, Gadgets and many more) Actually you might think that not having a direct target may mess things up. Not to worry, we go like this… 1st we set our targets from one field… then when we master that field we move to the other… impressed? Good, think you get the picture…

The Time line :

2009-01-01 : The great Earth Organization (if you don’t like cut off the great part!) was formed! This is the day we officially started our company…

2009-01-14 : We started our website by getting a good domain name and a host… After that we tried to do everything by html because that’s the only thing we knew! It took us some time to realize that coding everything from html means suicide!

2009-06-13 : We started our blog “Earth Blog” using Joomla… at first we didn’t write much articles… we just help other bloggers by putting links to their web sites!

2009-08-06 : We realized two things… 1) Joomla is not good for a blog 2) Putting links to other sites may help the other blog owners, but its a head ache for the users! So we moved to WordPress! We changed our name from “Earth Blogs” to “Earth Hacks”, in the new blog we wrote all the articles by ourselves! (we also got help from some good guest bloggers). With this new wordpress blog everything went smoothly… on two occasions we had to rebuild our site again because it started to slow down.

2009-10-19 : We found out that the slow downs are not due to a site issue, but because of our host! Our host seems to be very slow (low memory). So we decided to move to a new host…. actually, earlier we were in stone age! The new host is great… Currently everything is going smoothly without any problem!

2009-11-04 : We have done various things to make our site run faster when we were hosting under our old host, and those modifications have corrupted the structure of our site! We tried several times to rebuild it but failed. But today we were able to rebuild it completely with a whole new theme! Actually the theme plays a major role in a website… so we decided to buy a better quality theme! So now we have Earth Hacks 4.0 which is 90% error free! (actually its not practical to build a 100% error free system!)

2010-01-06 : We thought of moving our blog away from our main site! That means, put it under a new independent domain, without putting it under earth-org.com. Actually earth-org.com is not a good domain name… too bad we didn’t thought about it at the beginning! And also the name Earth Hacks started to confuse people… some of them thought that this a site about the Environment, because of the word “Earth”!  So, to correct the mistake, today, we have re-named “Earth Hacks” to “Tech Hamlet” and moved it to www.techhamlet.com
